Internships at WWF-India offer hands-on learning through meaningful engagement with real-world environmental challenges. Interns work alongside experienced professionals across diverse areas of conservation and sustainability, applying their academic knowledge and developing new skills that can positively impact nature and people.

Who Can Apply?
- Students of Indian and international institutions and universities, including those pursuing final-year undergraduate (Bachelor’s) and postgraduate (Master’s) programmes
- Individuals from other academic or professional backgrounds who are interested in an internship with WWF-India

FAQs

Internships at WWF-India range from a minimum of 30 days to a maximum of six months.

Students undertaking internships as part of their academic curriculum are not eligible for a stipend. Stipends for non-academic internships may be considered based on project requirements and the intern’s experience.

WWF-India is not an academic institution and therefore does not award academic credits. An Internship Certificate will be issued upon successful completion of the internship and submission of the required report.

WWF-India offers internships only to final-year undergraduate and postgraduate students due to the technical nature of the assignments. School students are encouraged to explore WWF-India’s volunteer programmes. To learn more, please visit the Volunteering page.

Every intern is assigned a mentor, who works closely with them, assigns tasks and provides training and guidance throughout the internship.

The mode and timing of an internship depends on project requirements. Interns may be required to operate remotely, in hybrid mode, from the office or from the field depending upon the project needs.

No, completion of an internship does not guarantee employment at WWF-India. The purpose of an internship is to provide exposure and training. However, interns who have completed their academic degree are free to apply for any relevant positions at WWF-India.

Interns are not eligible for leaves.
